Two from the Gulf

Seagull - 10x8 oil on gessobord
Both paintings are 10x8-inch oil on Gessobord referenced from photos I took a few years ago while vacationing on Galveston Island.

Orange Umbrella features my Mother-in-law relaxing on the beach while my son digs in the sand in the distance. These were extremely fun to paint for some reason. Maybe it's just the simplicity of them.

I was thinking about another title or two for the umbrella painting... maybe Shady Spot or since this is the Gulf of Mexico, Naranja Paragua which sounds so much better than orange umbrella.

Depot Light

Depot Light - 8x10-inch oil on Arches Oil Paper. This is an old freight depot in Waxahachie, Texas.

The early morning January air was filled with humidity and provided plenty of atmosphere between the railroad tracks and distant warehouses.
