The Tin Man

Plein air painting from the small burg of Maypearl, Texas over a year ago.

Once an icon of most small towns, these old water towers, or tin men as they are called, are nearing extinction since repairing them and making them safe is more costly than building new ones. I'm told that this one is on the demo list.

There were turkey vultures warming there wings on the catwalk when I started this but flew away shortly after I set up my easel.

12x9-inch oil on canvas panel.

$95 plus shipping at Daily Paintworks. Click the link to see the listing.
