Between Showers

A plein air painting from May 23, 2015 during the "Paint Historic Waxahachie" annual event. On-again-off-again showers throughout the weekend made for limited subject matter, but did provide me with opportunities to capture some reflections. I noticed these guys working on a building nearby so I set up my easel under an awning across the street just hoping I could capture them before the next rain came through. The puddle in the street was in a perfect spot to represent what was going on in this scene. The rains did return shortly but I accomplished my task in time.

This painting is available at my Daily Paint Works page for $145. Click here for details.
